A very small but clean and friendly hotel.
My boyfriend and I arrived late Friday afternoon, ready for a wedding at the Sandy Cove Hotel on the Saturday. The hotel was a lot smaller than we are used to, but served the purpose of somewhere to sleep and have breakfast and only a short distance to the brides house and the wedding venue.

Lovely B&B but some rooms not suitable for tall people
2 night stay in comfortable B&B.

Likes?
Very clean and friendly. Lovely welcome on arrival. Good breakfast.
Dislikes?
Attic room not suitable for tall people. Bed too small for tall people! Could not see TV - wooden beam in the way. Hadn't realised how far away B&B was from the main part of Ilfracombe.

Response
The House is nearly 200 years old the top floor rooms have partial eved ceilings but standard room height elsewhere, rooms are pictured on the booking pages. If you are over 6' 2" and a 4' 6" X 6' 2" double bed is too small for you then it would be advisable to inform the guest house prior to arrival. King size beds available. There are 2 leather chairs from which to view TV and the TV is also fully visible if you wish to watch whilst in bed. We are a 5 minute walk from the start of the seafront

Epchris House is a peaceful and perfect place to stay.
So enjoyable I really didn't want to go home - unusual for me. Such a comfortable base to come back to at the end of the day, knowing everything would be perfect.

Lovely people, superb accommodation
2 Night break which was excellent in every respect. Although Ilfracombe is getting dated in many areas the same cannot be said about Epchris House. It has been tastefully refurbished by Nicky and Rob to a high standard. Well situated, just up the hill from the promenade, it made an excellent base. Coupled with a more than ample choice on the breakfast menu, which was served outside if requested, it would be difficult to better this as a holiday venue.

Very enjoyable indeed
Very relaxing stay. We were first to occupy newly refurbished room which was first class. Nicky and Rob are very friendly, helpful and welcoming owners with their equally friendly dog, Rosie ! Great breakfasts and a decent location led to us having a really enjoyable break which was very good value for money. We'd certainly go again.

Little Archie loved Nicky
Nicky made us feel very very welcome. The accommodation was spotless, sitting outside enjoying a beer in the early evening sun was outstanding. Nicky the owner simply could not do enough for us. We will definitely be visiting again.

Very nice B&B in a good location.
The only drawback would be the location. There seems to be many more closer to the beach, but this B&B was very good and have no complaints. Service was very good and rooms/house was very clean.

Good find on the internet!
The Epchris Hotel is just what you need for a stay in North Devon. A very quiet location and lovely garden. Although we had the smallest bedroom in the hotel, it was certainly big enough and we were very happy to spend a few nights there. We will certainly stay there again if we go to North Devon. We had a very warm welcome and the breakfasts were excellent - as was the dinner we had there.

Good bed, good breakfast
Located at the edge of Ilfracombe, about 20 minutes on foot to the furthermost point of the harbour, with parking available. Friendly hosts, non-intrusive but accessible, helpful and informative when required. Excellent breakfast provided and very comfortable bed in good-sized room all at a very reasonable price.

Very relaxed and comfortable
We had a very good four night stay. The rooms were well decorated and spotlessly clean. Our breakfast was always freshly cooked and very good. The landlady was friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and Friendly
My wife and I stayed for a 3 night break at Epchris House. The room was very clean and comfortable, and seemed to be recently refurbished as everything in the room, including the ensuite, appeared to be new.
The owners, Nicky and Rob, were very friendly and keen to make sure that any requirements were catered for.
The full English breakfasts were superb and my wife had a different breakfast each day and enjoyed them all, especially the kippers.

Very enjoyable stay
The house is in a very peaceful setting, it is up a hill but it is not too steep and only a short walk to the main town and harbour. The room was a good size, very clean and well furnished. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very good.

A very relaxing stay
When we arrived at The Epchris Guest House, we were greeted by Nicky who then told us a bit about the Guest House and then we were shown our room, and asked if we would like help taking our luggage to our room. Our room was Clean with fresh towels and shower gel/shampoo. Tea/Coffee and Hot Chocolate facilities were provided. Breakfast was very nice with a choice of cooked breakfast or cereals, with orange/apple juice, tea/coffee. Ilfracombe town centre is just 0.1 miles away.

Quiet and relaxing
The hotel is in a quiet setting our hosts are friendly and efficient. The room we had was large, clean and well stocked with tea coffee and milk. The only drawback is its a fairly stiff climb from the center of town back to the hotel, but taxis were cheap and quick.
